Opodo, the online travel agencysaw its sales growing up for about 10% in one week after the lay out of secured seal on their payment page.
They realised that the security for payment online is the most important need for e-customers. There is already a seal named paypal that you can find on EBAY for example. I think it's one of the reason why some people don't buy things (travels or goods) on internet.

Opodo has been in business for years, why do you think this makes a difference now?
It's true that payment online is very practical and it's a important saving of time for the Customers. Moreover, in few years, I think that this type of payment will be the 2nd tool of payment used in the World. But, to invest in Security is very important for the Companies because it's a good return on investment. In this way, The Companies gain Customers Confidence. I use this type of payment but I admit that I'm not very reassured during the operation.I use e-payment only on big and renowed website. And few days after my payment, I check my Bank Statements.I hope that this type of behaviour is not current and it will disappear.
